i'll try to be short here.
1. write a sequence with one track full of prog changes (i use a high one like seq#99, out of the way of the others to be triggered), eg: say PC#1-8 (will trigger seq's#01-08) in a varying 'random' order, on nice event points like kik snare downbeats etc...and can be actually pretty dense full of them, this is to be the SSeq (or "2nd" in OS2), and will run through all the others.
2.write the pattern seq's 01-08 full of nice beats, tunes, whatever etc, stuff u want to slap about. u could even put fx changes in there.
3.set the SSseq track MIDI out to be 1B, cable 'midi out B' to 'midi in 2'.
make sure:
A. in "next seq" page, 'immediate play' is the selected option, not 'immediate start' will cause sequence feedback.
B. in mode+pad9/midi - the 'change sequence by Prog Change' is ON.
C. all the seq's 1-8 are at least as long as the SSeq in bars (any shorter and the whole thing loops by the shortest seq length)
i think thats it, press play.
