Those bug fixes are good news, I thought JJ has disapeared.

And I prefer the number version 1.10 than 1.09. I know, it's stupid

Hell yeah! Bugs 2, 3, 4, and 5 were really annoying. Can't wait to fix that. Pretty cool about audio tracks in song mode, too. (It's about time, honestly)

hi guys, I've just mess around with that long-awaited-change in audio tracks. My first conclusion is it needs workflow improvements.

First of all, it seems that the "click" is always recorded. I couldn't manage not to have it recorded in the sequence.

As i was afraid of, the different takes don't overlap.

In my mind, it would be nice if the < and > cursors could change the new "bar" option like in that screen :
Image

and it would be cool if start+rec would record from the beginning and overdub+rec start from the "bar" point you've just selected with < > for instance.

Here are my thoughts for the moment, I didn't try song convert compatibility coz i think audiotracks are far from being dope now.

Maybe it deserves a special topic and an intervention from mike feedback lol :)

I don't have that problem

You can use multiple tracks to overlap

REC+PLAY START = play from beginning
REC+PLAY = play from selected point

SONG Convert now works as well as SONG Record.

Audio tracks are definitely improving.

I haven't bothered to install OS2XL yet, mainly because I'm not liking what I'm reading about how simult records a note to the sequence for each pad that's simulted. that just seems counterintuitive to the purpose of simult. say I have a my drums laid down for a beat, but now I want to thicken them up by simulting 2 other pads from 1. now do I have to re-record it to record those extra notes that the one pad is now triggering?

and what if I want to go backwards and remove a simulted pad? do I have to re-record the performance so that those extra notes are removed? or go back and erase each note manually? you can't really automatically remove those notes, because how do you tell the difference between a note that was recorded from a simulted pad and one that I just recorded individually? if I recorded it individually on it's own, I wouldn't want that to be removed.

And the additions to audio tracks do not impress me, I'm still never going to use them. Just give us direct record already and be done with it!

my bad sovereign,

I couldn't reproduce the metronome "click" stuff. I think I was too excited when i tried the new function and and i spoke too fast.

Audio tracks are definitely improving.

Okay, here's my review on the changes to Audio Tracks:

- They do work properly in song mode, including the Convert to Sequence feature. Dope, finally!

- Now... The change where you can select separate samples for each bar has done nothing but ANNOY me. Either there are some bugs to work out, or I was doing something wrong. The Audio Tracks no longer worked fast and flawlessly for me.

Anyone have an opinion on what exactly JJ had in mind with this change? I don't see the purpose.

first step of implementing 2500 direct record.
