Right now, I'm using and 80gb, so when I buy the 80gb hard drive for the MPC, it'll be a perfect match for a backup drive. The thing is, I'll have to buy another audio hard drive for my DAW. I think a 300gb, 10,000 rpm drive would be the move eventually.as far as 300gb ata , 10,000 drive know such thing, 36gb ata 10,000 drive but not 300. I have one .

this is just a hard drive enclosure
its not a hard drive its self
so no one is misled
the case with the hd included with be a bit more expensive
I use that setup tho - to backup everything that I make
you will have to transfer your files to the pc then to the external hd
external hd's cannot be plugged into the mpc
